SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japanese refiner JX Nippon Oil & Energy has shut a crude distillation unit (CDU) at its 345,200/bbl/day at its Mizushima refinery for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.
JX Nippon Oil shut the 95,000 bbl/day No 2 CDU at its the Mizushima B refinery complex on 27 March. The unit with be off line until 8 June, the source added.
JX Nippon Oil’s Mizushima refinery in Okayama prefecture comprises two refining complexes – the A and B refineries.
In July 2012, the refiner shut all the facilities at the Mizushima B complex in July 2012 on the back of safety issues. Units at the B refinery complex were brought back onstream from November 2011 onwards. The No 2 CDU was back on stream on 15 February.
