SINGAPORE (ICIS)--SABIC is seeking to expand its business links in Singapore to boost the regional headquarters’ role as a hub to better tap the fast-growing Asian market, the Saudi Arabia-based chemicals major said over the weekend.
“The two sides exchanged views on how to further these business relations, with Singapore being the hub of SABIC’s regional operations,” the company said in a statement following the visit of several ministers from Singapore at its headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 20 March.
Asia is SABIC’s largest market and has been “experiencing strong double digit growth”, it added.
Besides its headquarters in Singapore, SABIC’s operations in Asia are spread across 40 offices as well as three technology and innovation facilities.
