HOUSTON (ICIS)--Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) reported a shutdown of an ethylene unit at its Sweeny complex in Texas during the weekend, a filing showed on Monday.
According to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), CPChem shut down an ethylene unit because of a loss of the propylene compressor for unknown reasons on 30 March.
The company’s facility has 1.878m tonnes/year of ethylene capacity, according to ICIS plants and projects.
