China’s Shandong Haili shuts No 2 capro plant for maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Haili Chemical Industry has shut its 100,000 tonne/year unit No 2 caprolactam (capro) plant in Zibo city of Shandong province on 1 April for maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.

The source did not disclose the exact restart date.

The company shut  its 100,000 tonne/year No 1 capro plant on 20 March, the source added without giving details on the restart.

Meanwhile, the company’s new 100,000 tonne/year capro plant in Dafeng city of Jiangsu province was started up recently and is operating at 90% capacity, the source added.
