LONDON (ICIS)--Ensus has temporarily stopped production at its biorefinery in Wilton, the UK, a company spokesperson said on Tuesday.

“We regretfully confirm that due to continuing adverse market conditions we are having to temporarily pause production,” a company spokesperson said.

“At this stage, we don't know how long this pause will be, but we hope that market conditions can improve and are working towards the plant becoming operational again in the near future,” the spokesperson added.

Ensus previously closed the 400m litre/year ethanol plant in May 2011 for around 15 months as a result of poor market conditions.
