S Korea’s Hanwha Chemical runs oxo-alcohols plant at 100%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Hanwha Chemical is currently operating its oxo-alcohols plant in Yeosu at 100% capacity, a company source said on Wednesday.

The unit, which as a nameplate capacity of 110,000 tonnes/year of 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) and 10,000 tonnes/year of n-butanol (NBA), was shut in end-March for scheduled maintenance, the source said.

The company restarted the unit earlier this week, the source added.
