February BD production rose 5% to 14-month high – report

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Coproduct production rates for contained purity butadiene (BD) increased almost 5% in February and were at a 14-month high, Petral Consulting said in its monthly report. 

BD production was 6.7m lbs/day in February compared with 6.4mn lbs/day in January. Coproduct butadiene/butylene/butane from plants in Texas and Louisiana was 11.7mn lbs/day in February compared with 10.7mn lbs/day in January.

Production of total C4 coproducts was at an 18-month high, the consultancy said.
