HOUSTON (ICIS)--Initial US March styrene contracts have settled this week at a rollover from the previous month to declines of 2 cents/lb ($44/tonne, €34/tonne), trade sources said on Thursday.
The direction of the settlements were in line with market expectations earlier this week that styrene contracts would be flat to lower because of weakness in the feedstock benzene market.
No styrene producers have issued any price increases for March contracts.
Additional March styrene settlements are expected to emerge next week.
February styrene contracts were settled at 81.75-85.75 cents/lb FOB, flat from the previous month.
