HOUSTON (ICIS)--Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) prices for April rolled over from March in Brazil, despite pressure from falling prices in Asia, local sources said on Thursday.
April domestic prices for pipe-grade PVC are assessed at $2,000-2,204/tonne (€1,560-1,719/tonne) DEL (delivered).
PVC prices rose in the past several months, driven by strong demand, tight supply and the global trend, according to participants. PVC prices rose by 8% in March and 8% in February.
PVC producers in Brazil are Braskem and Solvay.
