SINGAPORE (ICIS)--DSM has completed the acquisition of Brazil-based nutritional supplements firm Tortuga Companhia Zootecnica Agraria (Tortuga) for a total enterprise value of about €440m ($571m), the Dutch life sciences and material sciences company said on Monday.
“Tortuga…strengthens DSM's position in nutritional supplements and additives for ruminants and our presence in Brazil, one of the leading ruminant markets in the world,” the company said in a statement.
Tortuga produces organic trace minerals for animal nutrition and health with a focus on pasture raised beef and dairy cattle, according to DSM.
The acquisition was announced on 8 August last year.
