HOUSTON (ICIS) – February exports of US butadiene (BD) rose by 1.4% compared with a year ago, according to data released on Monday by the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
US BD exports for February were 2,730 tonnes, compared with 2,691 tonnes a year ago. Compared with January 2013 figures of 5,284 tonnes, February exports fell by nearly 50%.
All reported US exports for all periods were to Mexico.
US BD producers include ExxonMobil, LyondellBasell, Shell and TPC.
