US exports of nylon rose by 11% in February compared with a year ago, according to a report issued Monday by the US International Trade Commission.
US February nylon exports were 56,666 tonnes, compared with 51.037 tonnes a year ago. February exports also rose by 10% compared with January 2013, when exports totalled 51,583 tonnes.
US exports to Thailand rose by 141% compared with a year ago, while exports to Singapore increased by 110% and Korea saw a 68% rise in US exports.
The ITC groups nylon 6; nylon 11; nylon 12; nylon 6,6; nylon 6,9; nylon 6,10 and nylon 6,12 in its report.

US producers of nylon include Ascend Performance Materials, BASF, DuPont, EMS-Grivory, Honeywell, INVISTA, NYCOA and Shaw.
