SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Chinese oil and gas company Sinopec started commercial operations at its refined oil pipeline at Ningbo in eastern China’s Zhejiang province on 8 April, a company source said on Tuesday.
At 378 kilometres (km) long, this would be the longest refined oil pipeline in Zhejiang, according to the source.
The pipeline starts from Suanshan Port, which is operated by Sinopec subsidiary Zhenhai Refinery & Chemical Co (ZRCC), to Longyou county.
The pipeline is expected to transport a total of 7.6m tonnes/year of diesel oil and gasoline, the source added.
The oil products are supplied by ZRCC.
Construction for the pipeline started in January 2010.
