US Jacobs wins work for Shell transformer oil project in Hong Kong

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Jacobs has won a contract from Shell for a transformer oil project in Hong Kong, the US-based chemicals engineering firm said on Tuesday.

Under the deal, Jacobs will provide detailed design engineering services for modifications to Shell’s existing terminal facility to enable the processing of transformer oil, it said.

The Shell facility supplies Hong Kong and Macau with a wide range of oil, gas and chemical products.

Details about the project’s finances, capacities and start-up timelines were not disclosed.
