Poland's PKN Orlen expands Lithuania sulphur granulation capacity

LONDON (ICIS)--Poland's PKN Orlen has completed a desulphurisation and sulphur granulation investment costing approximately zloty (Zl) 45m ($14.2m, €10.9m) at its Lithuanian refining subsidiary Orlen Lietuva, the oil and petrochemicals group said on Tuesday.

The project has boosted the sulphur granulation capacity of Orlen Lietuva by 40% to 350 tonnes/day with upgrade potential that would bring it up to 450 tonnes/day, Orlen added.

Orlen Lietuva is the only refiner and sulphur producer in the Baltic region.
