LONDON (ICIS)--European epoxy resins contract prices in April have gone up by €60-80/tonne ($78-104/tonne) because of tighter feedstock supply and higher raw material costs, sources said on Tuesday.
The April liquid epoxy resins contracts are at €2,700-2,750/tonne free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE), while solid epoxy resins contracts are at €2,550-2,600/tonne FD NWE.
The vast majority of market participants have settled at an increase of about €70/tonne, plus/minus €20/tonne.
One major producer said it has managed to settle most of its contracts at an increase of €90-170/tonne, with a couple settling at €65-75/tonne, but the higher end of the range was not confirmed by any buyers and so this was not included in the above assessment.
