Japan's Mitsui Chemicals to shut Osaka phenol/acetone in July

SINGAPORE  (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals plans to shut its phenol/acetone plant in Osaka on 4 July for annual maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

The plant, which can produce 200,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 120,000 tonnes/year of acetone, is scheduled to be restarted on 1 August, the company source added.

The plant is currently running at full capacity, the source said.
