MELBOURNE (ICIS)--South Korea's Hannong Chemicals has restarted its 30,000 tonne/year glycol ethers plant in Gunsan after completing a turnaround, a company source said on Wednesday.
The producer is ramping up the plant’s operating rate, which should reach 100% by next week, the source said.
Hannong’s Gunsan unit was shut between 22 March and 9 April for scheduled maintenance.
The company operates a second 30,000 tonne/year glycol ethers plant at Daesan that will be shut later in 2013 for a turnaround. The dates for the Daesan plant maintenance have yet to be finalised, the source added.
