SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s biggest refiner Sinopec plans to process only 58.3m tonnes of crude in the second quarter, 1.5m tonnes less than its initial target, a company source said on Wednesday.
The cut was made in response to high inventories of gasoline and diesel, according to the source.
About 1m tonnes of the reduction is expected to be from this month’s production, he added.
