SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical restarted its 250,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) plant in Shanghai on Wednesday after completing maintenance at the unit, a company source said.
The plant was down for a full month from 10 March, the source said.
Market sources expect the restarted plant to produce HDPE pipe grade that will boost supply in eastern China at a time when demand has yet to improve.
