SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fibre is currently running its 60,000 tonne/year polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) line in Jiangsu at normal rates of 70-80%, a company source said on Wednesday.
The company was forced to shut its 20,000 tonne/year PBT line at the same site last week because of poor demand, the source said.
PBT is applied in the manufacture of automobile parts, computers and electrical devices.
