S Korea’s Lotte Chem buys 50,000 tonnes naphtha at lower premiums

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Lotte Chemical Corp has bought 50,000 tonnes of naphtha for delivery to Daesan in the second half of May, traders said on Thursday.

The deal for the cargoes was done at a premium of around $17.50/tonne to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight), they added.

Lotte last bought 75,000 tonnes of naphtha for delivery to Daesan in the second half of May, at a premium of $22/tonne (€17/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR.

The premiums softened because of ample supply in Asia, traders said.
