SEOUL (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem plans to restart its acrylic acid (AA) and acrylate esters facility located at Yeosu in end-April, a company source said on Thursday.

The company recently shut the units earlier this month for its annual maintenance, which was expected to last for about a month.

The units that were shut in the facility include the company’s No 3 crude AA unit and its 30,000 tonne/year 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2EH-A), 60,000 tonne/year butyl acrylate (butyl-A) and 30,000 tonne/year ethyl acrylate (ethyl-A) units, according to the source.
