Japan's Mitsui Chem shuts Chiba No 2 phenol/acetone unit on 10 Apr

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals on 10 April shut its No 2 phenol/acetone plant in Chiba for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

The plant, which has a nameplate capacity of 230,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 138,000 tonnes/year of acetone, will remain off line until 25 April, the source added.

The plant is a joint venture between Mitsui Chemicals and Idemitsu Kosan.
