LONDON (ICIS)--Switzerland-based Clariant has concluded a planned maintenance turnaround at its ethylene oxide (EO) plant in Gendorf, Germany, a source at the specialty chemicals producer said on Friday.
The shutdown began on 15 March and ended on 12 April. The source said, “I can confirm that we have restarted according to plan.”
Clariant’s Gendorf plant has a nameplate EO capacity of 240,000 tonnes/year.
European EO producers include Shell, INEOS Oxide, BASF, Clariant, Sasol, Dow Chemical, IQA, PKN Orlen and AkzoNobel.
