LONDON (ICIS)--EMS Group has completed the takeover of EFTEC to gain complete control over the business in central and eastern Europe, the Switzerland-based specialty chemicals and polymers firm said on Tuesday.
EFTEC is a worldwide supplier to the automotive industry. It develops, produces and markets materials and application technology in the fields of bonding, coating, sealing and damping.
EMS’s takeover of EFTEC includes headquarters in Zlin, Czech Republic, and production sites in Hradek, Czech Republic; Nizhniy Novgorod and Elabuga, both in Russia; and Budeasa, Romania.
EFTEC had sales of Swiss Franc (Swfr) 82m (€67m) last year. The firm employs a staff of 211 people.
