LONDON (ICIS)--India's Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) has issued its third ammonia tender of 2013 as the firm looks to secure a small cargo for mid-May arrival, market sources said on Wednesday.
The group is seeking a 7,000-tonne parcel for delivery to the west coast port of Kochi (Cochin) between 13 and 16 May, although the final volume could be plus/minus 5%.
Offers are requested to remain valid until 29 April, and the tender will close at 11:30 local time on 23 April.
On 10 April, FACT awarded local firm CIFC under its early April tender for around 7,000 tonnes of ammonia, with the trader offering Iranian product at $579/tonne (€440/tonne) CFR (cost and freight) Kochi (Cochin).
That 7,350-tonne ammonia parcel is scheduled to arrive in India on LPG tanker the Gas Master between 23 and 25 April.
In March, FACT awarded its first ammonia tender of the year to Qatar-based Muntajat – which sells fertilizer made by Qafco – at $590/tonne CFR.
That cargo was delivered on the LPG tanker Almarona on 20 March.($1 = €0.76)
