LONDON (ICIS)--Russia-based EuroChem has closed its 18,000 tonne/year butyl acetate (butac) plant in in Nevinnomyssk for planned maintenance, a source at the company said on Thursday.

The shutdown is said to have commenced earlier in April, and production is expected to resume in mid-May.

The plant mainly supplies the domestic market, with occasional exports to northwest Europe.
