HOUSTON (ICIS)--After being quiet for almost a month, the acrylonitrile (ACN) spot market picked up with three deals, sources said on Thursday.

One producer confirmed that it had done two spot deals - one load of about 3,000 tonnes at $1,740/tonne (€1,340/tonne) US FOB (free on board) and another for about 2,000 tonnes at $1,830 CFR (cost and freight) EU.

Another US producer said it had completed a spot transaction to ship a small order of ACN to India for late April delivery at $1,600/tonne US FOB.
