HOUSTON (ICIS)--Unigel Mexico has re-started its 60,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile (ACN) plant in Mexico at about 80% of capacity, market sources said on Thursday.

The plant had been shut down for routine maintenance.

The plant will ramp up to about 85-90% of capacity over the next two weeks, sources said.

The plant is in the Morelos petrochemical complex in Veracruz, Mexico and is a joint effort between Unigel and Pemex Petroquimica.

The facility began operations in 2009.
