SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Nippon Shokubai will restart its 35,000 tonne/year maleic anhydride (MA) plant at Himeji later on Friday after completing its maintenance, a company source said.
The MA plant was taken off line on 25 March for scheduled maintenance.
The company plans to ramp up production of the plant gradually to 100% capacity but the process may take a week, the source added.
The shutdown of the plant did not have an impact on the supply of MA in the domestic market, sources said.
