MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Lianhai Biological Technology plans to begin a trial run at its new 200,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac) line in Nantong, Jiangsu province in late April, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.
The new line will triple company’s etac capacity to 300,000 tonnes/year, the source said, adding that the capacity addition is 200,000 tonnes/year, revising the capacity it had given previously.
Jiangsu Lianhai plans to begin commercial operations in late May or early June, pending the outcome of the trial run, the source added.
Jiangsu Lianhai's existing Nantong plant produces 100,000 tonnes/year of etac.
