SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Major paraxylene (PX) producers in Asia have nominated their May Asian Contract Price (ACP) at $1,520-1,620/tonne (€1,170-1,247/tonne), up by $120-220/tonne from April’s settlement, market sources said on Tuesday.
Japan’s JX Nippon Oil and Energy quoted $1,520/tonne CFR (cost & freight) Asia for its May ACP, while its fellow Japanese PX major Idemitsu Kosan nominated $1,550/tonne CFR Asia, market sources said.
South Korean PX maker S-Oil, on the other hand, nominated $1,540/tonne CFR Asia for its May ACP, according to its buyers.
Aromatics giant ExxonMobil, meanwhile, announced its May PX ACP nomination at $1,620/tonne CFR Asia, its customers said.
