SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Ningxia Dadi Chemo-industrial has postponed the maintenance of its 100,000 tonne/year vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plant and downstream 50,000 tonne/year polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) plant because of the delayed delivery of equipment, a company source said on Wednesday.
The company originally planned to shut the plants in early April, and the exact date of the shutdown has not been confirmed yet, the company source said.
At present, both the VAM plant and PVOH plant is operating at 75% to 80% of capacity, the source added.
Ningxia Dadi Chemo-industrial is a major PVOH producer which is located at Yinchuan city in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
