SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s import volumes of ethanolamines in March rose by around 98% month on month, China customs data showed on Wednesday.
Import volume rose from around 7,147 tonnes in February to 14,162 tonnes in March, the official data showed.
Year on year, the increase in import volume was around 51%, up from 9,363 tonnes in March 2012.
The sharp increase in import materials coming into China resulted in an oversupplied market as downstream demand has not picked up significantly, sources said.
