XIAMEN, CHINA (ICIS)--China-based Huizhou MMA plans to restart its 90,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) unit in Guangdong province on 27 April after completing a turnaround, a company source said on Thursday.
The unit was taken off line on 14 April, almost a month ahead of the original schedule of starting the turnaround in mid-May.
However, the source did not give any reason for advancing the schedule.
The unit was shut for a catalyst change, he added.
Huizhou MMA is a subsidiary of Japan’s Mitsubishi Rayon Co (MRC).
