SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Mitsubishi Chemical plans to restart its 685,000 tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit at Ningbo in China’s Zhejiang province on 29 April, a company source said on Thursday.
The PTA plant was shut on 7 April for a scheduled turnaround, the source said.
Mitsubishi Chemical usually conducts three-to-four week-long turnarounds at the unit around the same period once every year, he added.
The planned shutdown did not have impact on contract supply as customers were informed in advance, the source said.
