LONDON (ICIS)--India's Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) has awarded its 7,000-tonne ammonia tender to Muntajat after the Qatari firm offered at $595/tonne (€458/tonne) CFR (cost and freight) Kochi (Cochin), market sources said on Thursday.
Muntajat, which sells fertilizers manufactured by Qafco, was one of only two suppliers to offer under FACT's third ammonia tender of 2013, with trader Transammonia (Trammo) offering at $635/tonne CFR.
According to the terms of the tender, the parcel must arrive in west coast India 13-16 May. The cargo is likely to be delivered on LPG tankers the Almarona or the Almajedah.
Earlier this month, FACT awarded an identical tender to CIFC after the Indian trader offered Iranian product at $579/tonne CFR.
