SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Nan Ya Plastics’ 720,000 tonne/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit No 4 in Mailiao is currently shut for turnaround and will restart in mid-May, a company source said on Friday.
The plant was taken off line from 3-4 April, with the shutdown for catalyst change expected to last 35-40 days, the source said.
The turnaround was brought forward from the initial schedule of around 10 April because of mechanical issues at the unit, the source said.
Nan Ya will continue to cut supply allocations to its customers in May, the source said.
