TOKYO (ICIS)--Japanese producer Sekisui Chemical recorded a 7.3% increase in its full year net profit to yen (Y) 30.2bn ($304m) on the back of increase in sales and higher profits at some of its businesses, the company said on Friday
Overall operating profit for the full year to March rose by 9.2% year on year to Y59.6bn, while net sales were up by 7% to Y1,032.4bn, according to a statement.
Operating profit for the high performance plastics segment increased by 13% to Y23.2bn from the previous year, while net sales stood at 332bn, a 12% increase, the company said.
However, operating profit for urban infrastructure and environmental products business was down by 39% year on year to Y1.8bn, even though net sales rose by 7.3% to Y214.5bn
