China’s Sinopec sells interest in Myanmar oilfield to Taiwan’s CPC

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corp will sell its 30% interests in an oilfield in Myanmar to Taiwan’s CPC, the parent of the Chinese firm said on Friday.

Located at western Mandalay, Block D oilfield covers an area of about 12,000 square kilometres, Sinopec said.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal is still subject to regulatory approvals, Sinopec said.
