HOUSTON (ICIS)--Here is Friday’s end of day Americas oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: Jun WTI: $93.00/bbl, down 64 cents; Jun Brent: $103.16/bbl, down 25 cents
NYMEX WTI crude futures posted light losses on pre-weekend profit taking after rising over $4.00 during the two previous sessions. Released data showing the US economy expanding less than expected during the first quarter also encouraged the selling.

RBOB: May: $2.8349/gal, up 2.31 cents/gal
Reformulated blendstock for oxygen blending (RBOB) gasoline futures prices extended its gains despite lower crude futures as the May RBOB prompt contract nears its expiration. For the week, gasoline futures are up by 6.24 cents/gal.

NATURAL GAS: $4.152/MMBtu, down 1.5 cent
The May contract on the NYMEX natural gas market closed its final day as front month by falling in low trading volumes. The contract rallied in the early afternoon after declining sharply in the morning based on milder weather forecasts, although forward curve contracts saw moderate rises in reaction to the latest Baker Hughes US weekly rig count, which showed a slight decline in the number of gas drilling units.

ETHANE: higher at 29.25-29.50 cents/gal
Ethane spot prices were higher in a stable market, even as natural gas and crude futures retreated slightly.

AROMATICS: mixed xylene trades at $4.025/gal, toluene up at $3.95-4.05/gal
May mixed xylene (MX) traded at $4.025/gal FOB (free on board) during the day, sources said. The deal was within the previous day’s range of $4.00-4.10/gal FOB. Prompt n-grade toluene spot prices were discussed at $3.95-4.05/gal FOB during the day, sources said. The range was up following a deal at $3.95/gal on Wednesday.

OLEFINS: ethylene bid lower at 55 cents/lb, PGP offered higher at 60 cents/lb
April ethylene bids fell to 55 cents/lb from 56 cents/lb the previous day, while offers were unchanged at 60 cents/lb. April polymer-grade propylene (PGP) was offered at 60.00 cents/lb, higher than a deal done earlier in the week at 58.25 cents/lb.
