Indian Oil shuts Panipat naphtha cracker for turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indian Oil Corp has shut its 857,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Panipat for a scheduled maintenance since 28 April, said a source familiar with the situation on Monday.

The maintenance will last two weeks, he added.

“The process of shutting down started yesterday,” the source said.

The cracker is expected to resume operations on 10 May, he said.
