ICA Fluor wins contract to build DuPont’s Mexico TiO2 expansion

LONDON (ICIS)--ICA Fluor, the joint venture between US petrochemicals engineering major Fluor and Mexico’s Empresas ICA, on Monday announced it has been awarded a contract to construct a new titanium dioxide (TiO2) train at DuPont’s complex in Altamira, Tamaulipas, on the Gulf of Mexico.

The contract is valued at $130m (€100m). Capacity details of the expansion were not disclosed.

ICA Fluor will be responsible for the construction, construction management and material management services for the production facility that is scheduled for completion in 2015.
