SINGAPORE (ICIS)--India’s locally produced 80/20 blend soap noodles, containing 80% palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD), were offered at around Indian rupees (Rs)44/kg, stable from the previous week.
Locally produced Indian soap noodles were assessed at Rs42-44/kg EXW during the week ended 26 April, according to ICIS on Tuesday.
“Local raw material price stable, so Indian soap offer unchanged from last week,” said an Indian soap maker.
Buyers were willing to purchase these locally-produced soap noodles at Rs42-44/kg as import materials from southeast Asia are priced at around Rs10/kg higher, sources said.
Local PFAD was available at Rs34-35/kg EXW, unchanged from the previous week.
