SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japanese producer KH Neochem has restarted its 30,000 tonne/year glycol ethers plant at Yokkaichi in Mie prefecture, after completing scheduled maintenance, a company official said on Tuesday.

The producer plans to ramp up the plant’s operating rate after restarting it this week, the official said.

“It will take about a week for the plant’s operating rate to reach 100% [capacity]”, the official added.

The plant was taken off line in mid-March to undergo annual maintenance.
