SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical is operating its naphtha crackers in the country at 85-90% capacity in May, unchanged from the levels in April, a company source said on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Chemical’s 493,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Mizushima is slated to be shut from mid-May to early July and its 489,000 tonne/year No 2 cracker in Kashima will be shut in mid-August for 50-55 days.
There is no turnaround scheduled for its 392,000 tonne/year No 1 cracker in Kashima this year.
