TOKYO (ICIS)-- Japanese refiner Idemitsu Kosan reported on Thursday a 22% decline in its full-year net profit to yen (Y) 50.2bn ($515m), largely on poor showing from its petroleum products segment, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
Operating profit for the year ended 31 March 2013 fell by 20% to Y110.7bn, while net sales inched up 1.5% to Y4,375bn, the company said.
In the petroleum products segment, operating profit for the period fell by 17% to Y72.9bn, while net sales rose by 1.6% to Y3,648bn.
In the petrochemical products segment, operating profit increased by 34% to Y17.1bn, while net sales was up by 4% at Y528.4bn.
