US Arsenal Capital adding to Dash portfolio with Pathway purchase

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US-based private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners has acquired Pathway Polymers, a supplier of polyurethane (PU) tyre fill material and equipment, from the Vita Group, Arsenal announced on Thursday.

Financial details were not disclosed.

The acquisition comes a day after Arsenal announced its purchase of another PU products producer, Arnco.

Both Arnco and Pathway are being bolted onto Dash Multi-Corp, a US-headquartered formulated PU, vinyl plastisol and specialty coatings manufacturer purchased by Arsenal in December 2012.

Established in 1971, Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Pathway invented TyrFil, the world’s first PU tyre fill material intended for flat-proof tyres, Arsenal said in a press release.

Pathway is a supplier to major mining, construction, rental and original equipment manufacturing customers across the globe.
