SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) has settled its April butadiene (BD) contract at $1,400/tonne, down by $328/tonne (€253/tonne) from the previous month, a company source said on Friday.

Its March contract was settled at $1,728/tonne pipeline DEL (delivered).

FPCC’s monthly BD contract price is settled on a retroactive basis and is roughly based on the average spot prices on that particular month.

In the week ended 26 April, BD spot prices were assessed at $1,400-1,450/tonne CFR (cost and freight) northeast (NE) Asia, according to ICIS data.
